About Karen Davey Contemporary Interiors
Karen Davey Contemporary Interiors …
In 2011, Karen Davey decided to give up her day job and do ‘something totally different’. She sat down with a borrowed sewing machine, and very soon discovered her future lay in the creative sewing world. Karen handed in her notice and booked a stand at the Royal Cornwall Show, selling just bunting, two months after she started the business.
In 2012, Karen was recognised by former BBC Dragon Theo Paphitis in February 2012 as part of his Small Business Sunday twitter awards and has also set up a pop up shop outside of number 10 Downing Street.
In 2014, she set up Winifred and Mabel in Wadebridge, a joint project with her friend Sarah Pascoe-Beard as a craft co-operative. Winifred and Mabel give around 15 other Cornish handmade businesses a permanent high street presence in a great trading position.
In 2015, Karen decided to drop the Just Bunting name, to take into consideration the diverse range of home furnishings products she now makes. She now makes home furnishing products for shops, online websites, businesses, holiday properties, wedding venues and private homes.
