I was invited to run a bunting making crafty hen party workshop in the gorgeous Beaconside House nestled in the North Devon countryside.
With sixteen hens in total, I knew I had to be organised, so spent a few hours carefully selecting fabrics and cutting out the bunting flags ready.
We were supplied with appropriate hen party cupcakes to keep us going!
The ladies were soon getting the sewing bug, and there was a wide range of skills from complete beginners to experienced seamstresses, everyone was able to contribute to making around 5 metres of bunting each.
It took us just over three hours to make about 60 metres of bunting, so a good morning’s work!
I’d like to say a big thank you to Holly who organised the workshop and good luck to Ash and her new husband on their wedding day and future together xx
Email from Holly, the organiser, after the event:
I can’t thank you enough for providing us with such a wonderful workshop on Sunday.
Personally I thought I knew my own sewing limits in terms of my capabilities so I was so surprised to have been able to make so much bunting which I was so pleased with!
The message cards to attach was so thoughtful and I know the venue will look really beautiful on Ash’s wedding day.
But it will be so special for her to have everyone’s efforts hanging over us after such a fantastic weekend together.
I will recommend you to anyone and everyone!! I put some photos up on Instagram and lots of people commented so will put your details on too.
Thank you so much again for everything, I sent the blog link to all participants who were blown away. You’d been very busy while we were all slogging it back up the M4!
I hope to see you again in the future. Good luck with your business!
